Saturday evening at Pororo Park

Since my son attends kindergarten during weekdays, every weekend I am always in a dilemma where to go to have fun with my baby.

Saturday evening at Pororo Park

Hey pal!

This time we decided to Pororo Park, named after the famous Korean cartoon haracter Pororo. I knew from some local forums where it was described as a very good place to visit. Actually, it is a chain of children’s parks located in Seoul and somewhere in Dongtan and I chose the one in D-Cube City near Sindorim Station in Seoul because of the good transportation there.

Getting Hungry…

On Saturday D-Cube city was quite crowded and Pororo Park was so too. The admission fees are quite high: 16, 000 won for a baby over 18 months old ( my son is 18 months old) and 6, 000 won for an adult, for 2 hours session. The overall size of the park is not so big; it has a few sections such as sand play, ballroom or tunnels. Equipment is not new if not to say as “very old”. What my son liked much was the riding on the train, sliding in the tunnels, and jumping in a pool full of blue balls. Cafeteria offers some food and drinks are available but I had noticed there was very few high chairs when needed.

With my Friends!!

If I were to rank a D-cube’s Pororo Park using 5 points grade, I may grade it with 3.5 points mostly because of that fact that entrance fee does not correspond to facilities’ quality, even though in some sense development toys there were no batteries. But, still it is not a bad children’s park. I hope to go there next time with our daddy as I can have some shopping while they play in a park.

Location of the park is very nice, It’s in a huge shopping center with numerous restaurants and cafes located on the basement floor. After almost two hours of activities at Pororo Park my son got very hungry and we decided to have some Korean meal, in our case he enjoyed eating galbitang(갈비탕) which was very delicious.

Pororo the Teacher and his classroom

For little kids physical activity is very important, in my opinion. Since it is hot outside, indoor amusement parks are good alternatives to open  air parks. Our next destination is Woongjin Water Park in Bucheon, I’ll report of it later.
