Simseok Elementary School is committed to recruiting a diverse team of talented educators who are dedicated to developing each student’s individual, academic, social, and emotional capacities and growth within the classroom and beyond. We currently have 5 teachers from abroad, 6 Korean bilingual teachers, an academic director and an administrative assistant. We are all learning as we teach our adorable and smart students together. We are currently seeking a highly qualified and high-performing teacher for our upcoming semester starting the 2nd of March (Classes start from the 13th of March).

Summary
Full time teachers are responsible for teaching assigned classes like: Language Arts, Creative Writing, Critical Thinking and Debate, Speech and Presentation. Another important duty is to attend and set up weekly staff meetings to collaborate and interact with other teachers. Active participation in school events such as sports day, festivals, and learning fair week is highly expected. Research and development for innovative teaching methods are also an important part of being a member of Simseok’s English Department.

Follow classroom procedures provided and prepare lesson plans for class.

Qualifications
All teachers are required to have at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
Teaching experience with Korean elementary school students (preferred)
Effective organization skills with regard to the utilization of time, space, materials, and equipment for instruction
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in classroom management
Evidence of cooperation with administrators, teachers, and other staff
Effective written and oral communication
Ability to be flexible in work assignments

Compensation
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree – minimum pay is 2.1 million won per month
Candidates with previous experience –negotiable
