Elementary School Teacher, Starting Aug. 14.

Overview

Elementary School in Wonju is looking for 2 native English teachers.
(This is not a hagwon.)

*2 Positions Starting in August*

• Location: Wonju, Gangwon  (It takes about 1 hour to Seoul by KTX train)
• Position: Native English Teacher

• When to Start:
-Position#1: August 14, 2019
-Position#2: August 14, or they can wait until the last week of  August, 2019 (earlier the better)

• Students Age:
Elementary School Students (7~13 years old)

• Working Hour:
Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm

Friday 8:30am – 3:00pm

→ average number of classes to teach per week: 24

→ 1 class: 40 minutes.

• Class Size: 12 students
• Contract: 1 year
• Flight Ticket: round-trip airfare provided
• Housing: a studio apartment provided

• Monthly Salary: Starts from 2.1M

→ Depending on experience, is higher as follows:

(1) Teaching in hagwon: monthly salary + 25,000 won / year

(2) Teaching in school: monthly salary + 50,000won / year

(3) A teacher with Master’s Degree: monthly salary + 50,000won

(4) A teacher with Teacher’s Certificate: monthly salary + 50,000won

*How to calculate(example):

If you are a teacher with Teacher’s Certificate and has 3-year experience in teaching in school:

2.1M + (50,000 won x 3years) + (50,000 won) = 2.3M

*Your experience in teaching in Korea is recongnized up to 10 years only.

• Pension & Health Insurance: 50% provided
• Severance pay: paid upon completing 12-month work

• Paid vacation: About 5 weeks as stated in the employment contract
