Overview

Teacher needed to Start ASAP – Monthly Pay 2.5-3.0+ Million Won based on experience level (negotiable)

EPIC (English Passion Institute of Canada), which is located in Gupabal Station, on the outskirts of Seoul, is looking for a GREAT teacher (Kinder/Elementary preferred) who can start to teach from Aug/Sept, 2018. (F-VISA or already in Korea will be given Preference)

This is the perfect job for teachers who are looking for a great job, in a wonderful school with the strengths of a ‘standard’ system without all the administrative red-tape. The manager is from Canada and has over 10+ years of education experience – Wants to make your stay very comfortable, adaptable/help you settle into an enjoyable life in South Korea.

We prefer certified teachers who have previous teaching experience in the U.S.A, Canada or the UK (elementary or middle school system) but are open to all applicants who are passionate about working in a school environment.
Qualifications:
* Native English Speaker
* BA/BS or B.Ed (or higher): Education, English (Literature), History and other relevant majors (Speech Communications, Theater, Early Childhood, etc.)
* Preference is given to Certified Teachers, however a combination of TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification and work experience will also be considered.

Working Conditions
* maximum 20-30 teaching hours a week.
5 days a week (Monday through Friday (never weekends). Hours: Mon-Fri. 2:00pm – 9:00pm (Dinner break/ No Split Shifts)
* During Our Summer and Winter Intensives: Classes run longer (BUT Teachers will work a varied schedule but never 10-12 hours a day!), However, possibilities exist for teachers to collect great overtime during Intensive months shall they want it. (These classes are usually held in August and January).

Salary:
* Will be determined based on applicant’s education, qualifications, and teaching experience.(2.5-3.0+ million Won per month)
* Bonuses are discussed/evaluated on a bi-monthly basis depending on how the teacher is performing and quality of instructional lessons given.
* Severance pay (or the equivalent of 1 month’s basic salary) will be given after the completion of a one-year contract.

Housing/Airfare
* Single furnished housing that is comfortable and convenient located close to the school (Gupabal) or housing allowance is available if the teacher does not need a furnished apartment.
* Airfare given

Benefits/Vacation
* 2 weeks paid vacation (usually 1 week winter/1 week summer) and all national holidays (about 10-15 days a year)
* Medical insurance premium and national pension will be co-shared (Income tax will be deducted at the standard National rate)

Documents required:
* Scanned transcripts (for our files, originals are no longer required)
* Cover letter, explaining motivations for teaching in Korea
* Resume, with a recent photo
* 1 Copy of university diploma. For Canadians, notarized by a notary public and certified by Korean consulate. For others, the diploma needs to be notarized and apostilled. Again, a scan/copy is fine for the initial application. Please note that the Korean Ministry of Education may require an original diploma to be presented after arrival.
* Copy of inside passport page with date of birth and nationality shown
* A letter of recommendation, written by former employers.
