Gyeongpo Beach : More than a beach to me
More than a Beach I believe. This is what I experienced in reality when I went to Gyeongpo Beach , also called as the East beach in Korea, being located to the East-most. I am a city boy from the capital city of New Delhi , India and beaches and mountains are far far away. It was always a dream to be close to nature and this is one place where you will find yourself sitting right in the lap of it. I remember the nearest beach to me way back in my hometown was like a 10 hour or so journey which surely was never so easy to plan out often. For those who always live close to the seaside or nearby in their home countries, you might be able to connect with what I meant by the whispering of waves and for those who have not been lucky enough to visit one, this is a place you can surely appreciate mother nature. Merging with the great pacific ocean, it hits you as an awesome spectacle .
It has always been at the top of list as an tourist attraction and more than just being a beach, It’s famous for its picturesque sunrise and tranquil moon rise .Various cultural festivals are also organised here including the famous,”Festival of Cherry Blossoms” in spring and “Beach Festival” in the summer.
There are also other facilities like Bungee-jumping, water-skiing, boating, horse riding, etc. Parking facilities are also available, and as far as I can remember the price was somewhere like a 2000 Won. More importantly, even though its open most of the year, the preferred time to visit here is in July & August, wherein you can enjoy most of the activities. There is also a shower booth where you can clean yourself. The beach also has a separate lane for you to walk around the coast and also for you to do cycling. Yes, you can rent a cycle for a small price. Childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies. I remember as a child, I used to love cycling, taking rounds with my friends, but since time never stop, I never realized when I left the bicycle behind and was lost in the city driving a car. This was a nostalgic moment in life, and I realized how luxury cannot replace those pleasurable childhood memories of mine .
Being a tourist attraction it has bunch of hotels and resorts nearby, which might also be able to offer you some tourist packages and a bunch of restaurants all around. Seafood is in variety which is obvious, what I want you to go and try is the special,”live or raw fish “. Don’t worry the fish won’t be jumping on your plate and you won’t be playing the “Man in the wild”game. The live fish is more about picking up a live fresh fish and preparing it for you. Most of you who are sushi fans would simply love it. Expect the price to be a little high both because of the specialty of the food plus it being a tourist place.
I know I was into writing when I was five. I don’t know what I did before that. Just loafing around, I suppose. Childhood is the only time in our lives when insanity is not only permitted to us, but expected. Building sand castles and rebuilding them was always so much fun. Enough said about childhood, the scenic beauty can also re-freshen your love life, long walks holding hands with your lover, It can really make up for the time you always went to spend with the love of your life but could not being lost in the everyday busy life .It’s never late to plan a romantic dinner under an umbrella table and getting lost into each others eyes.
