Gwangjang Market (광장시장) is one awesome place for locals and tourists alike to get a taste of real street food in Korea. The Atmosphere is alive and the people are hungry for all the delicious food they are surrounded by. Seriously it’s like Food Heaven in Seoul. The search for it is worth it. If your a fan of Korean street food or it’s your first time, there is something for everyone to taste and try. On the side streets you will find your street markets where you can haggle for clothes, fish and household items.
From the safety of Kimbap to the deadly spicy other korean delicacies, Gwangjang Market has everything. Every time you go there food pops out at you and you just wanna eat everything even if you stomach can’t handle the excess. The food really pulls you in no matter how much you think or believe you can resist.
One of the most famous street foods sold here is bindaetteok or mung bean pancake. This Korean style pancake, fried in oil until it is golden brown, is made using ground mung beans, kimchi, and vegetables such as green onions and peppers. The sight and smells of watching the vendors prepare and cook bindaetteok is a great sight. Bindaetteok goes great on a cool evening.

Hours vary by store. Generally, stores are open 9:00-18:00. Some stores open as early as 7:00 and close as late as 19:00.
