Teaching opportunities at Hana Academy Seoul
Hana Academy Seoul, a newly-created, fully accredited coed high school in Seoul, is currently looking for well-qualified, experienced instructors who have passion to teach bright, young and highly motivated high school students. Hana Academy Seoul is an independent private boarding school, the only such one in the Seoul metropolitan area. Available Positions & Duties: l American Literature & World History (1 position) - 16 hours/week (full time) l AP Microeconomics (1 position) - 8 hours/week (part time) l AP Physics (1 position) - 4 ~ 8 hours/week (part time) Job Description: Teachers will have 4~8 hours/week class time (50 minutes per class) with classes of approx. 20 students. Teachers will be responsible for performing jobs as an instructor in a private school including, but not limited to, preparing syllabus and lesson plan, giving tests, grading, evaluating as well as normal instruction in classroom. Starting Date: August 23, 2010 Candidate Qualifications: l B.A. degree minimum (major in relevant field) l Teaching experiences in a related field l University-level Korean teaching experience preferred for AP subjects Terms of Contract: Period of contract: one semester (Starting August 23 through January 5, 2011) * Period of contract can be extended depending on the performance. Compensation & Benefits: l Part-time position: negotiable hourly pay based on qualifications and experience l Full-time position: competitive monthly salary based on qualifications and experience plus benefit package (housing allowance, pension (50/50), health insurance (50/50) Documents to submit: A cover letter describing your qualifications and experience A current resume (Microsoft Word or pdf format) *Additional documents (official transcripts, diplomas, copy of passport, and photos) will be required for final approval.
